The V-Station virtual analog synthesizer re-creates the power and rich sound of the K-Station synth as a plug-in for the computer. The V-Station produces rich, complex, and harmonically dense sounds through its use of the Liquid Analog synthesis engine and presents a clear and responsive interface with the key dials and switches is just a mouse click away.
The V-Station gets the same real 3-oscillator flexibility as the award-winning K-Station, awesome liquid analog filters, 8-voice polyphony, tweakable simultaneous FX, and phat sounds only a Novation synth can offer. Acres of program locations and the flexibility of integrating it with your sequencer and/or disc-based recording setup make it a useful tool that’s also a team player. Sounds created in the V-station can be downloaded into the A- or K-station and vice versa.
Getting the best from the V-Station is easy. All the primary sound-shaping controls are there on the main screen. Clear, concise, and simple. Recall a preset, tweak, and instantly save it in any of the 400 program locations. Need more? Just click and you’ll find additional functions and controls on the other 3 screens.
3 powerful oscillators provide all the classic waveforms, including a sine wave for those sub-bass floor-shaking grooves. All waveforms feature a doubling ability which provides twin waveforms with no loss of polyphony. Oscillators may be set to unison or sync operation and can utilize FM for the generation of metallic or percussive timbres. A noise source is also included in the waveform engine.
Filters in the V-Station deliver the rich, liquid sound of analog filters. Selectable low-pass, 12dB or 24dB cut-off curves with resonance and overdrive make it easy to re-create anything from a distorted TB303 to a tight, rounded bass patch.
Call up an instance of the V- Station and there are immediately a further 8 voices available with a new sound if desired. This ability to use multiple instances allows the V-Station to run as many multitimbral parts as the power of the host computer will allow.
The V-Station adopts the sound structure of the Supernova Synthesizer to provide 6 simultaneous effects on each part on the multitimbral synthesizer. The effects include a distortion unit, stereo chorus, phaser, reverb, synchronized pan, and delay.
The arpeggiator supplies programmable speed, synchronization, and sweep range for each instance, allowing for comprehensive synchronization of time-based effects. Set up a few instances, hit a single key and trigger a wall of sound. All running arpeggiators and LFOs can be individually synchronized to MIDI Clock in different time signatures.
Covering a huge sonic range from searing leads to passionate pads, from delicate electric pianos to phat funky bass, this soft synth dishes up hard sounds.
