32dB of external noise attenuation - I wanted to address this. For a long time I've used these headphones for recording drums. That really says something. To successfully block out all the noise for a drummer to hear the click, you need serious headphones. The HD280 cans deliver.

Also, I have an older pair of these headphones, too. They've been used and abused for a couple years. Well, they finally stopped working. So I stopped by the Sennheiser website to look around for a solution. If you need your headphones fixed, email a Sennheiser rep. The internals of these HD280 headphones are replaceable and the parts are usually in stock. Cheap, too. You can get them fixed for 20-30 bucks.
