Got a home studio? Then you should have these headphones! I have two pair, and I hate to say it – but I paid $99 a piece for em. Now they’re only $85 at musiciansfriend.com… oh well. They are worth just about any price. And believe me, 85 dollars is a freakin steal for these babies!

The frequency response is 8Hz to 25kHz on paper. In real life? How the heck should I know? I can only hear 20 to 20! Either way, it’s a great sound. These headphones are collapsible, which is nice for travel. And the ear cups are more comfortable and snug-fitting than any others I own.

Do yourself a favor and listen to a pair of these headphones. You’ll cry if you are forced to leave the store without them.

32dB of external noise attenuation – I wanted to address this. For a long time I’ve used these headphones for recording drums. That really says something. To successfully block out all the noise for a drummer to hear the click, you need serious headphones. The HD280 cans deliver.

Also, I have an older pair of these headphones, too. They’ve been used and abused for a couple years. Well, they finally stopped working. So I stopped by the Sennheiser website to look around for a solution. If you need your headphones fixed, email a Sennheiser rep. The internals of these HD280 headphones are replaceable and the parts are usually in stock. Cheap, too. You can get them fixed for 20-30 bucks.
